A request to all descendants and associated families of Jeremiah and Mary Ware of Tasmania are invited to attend the 175th Anniversary Celebration of their sons, the Ware brothers Jeremiah George, Joseph and John’s arrival at Williamstown, Victoria on 29 April 1838. During Australia’s early pioneering years these three brothers, together with sisters Maria and Amelia, became well-known identities throughout the Western District of Victoria.
Jeremiah Ware married Mary Brookes in 1816 London, England.
They arrived on the ‘Lusitania’ in Hobart Town, Van Diemen’s Land, on 25 April 1823.

Activities include –
Saturday 27 April – “At Home with the Wares”, Warrnambool Art Gallery, (WAG), 26 Liebig Street, special family preview and opening ceremony at 1 pm.
Works selected from the collection of the WAG will be presented in celebration of the Ware Family Reunion. This exhibition will remain on show to the public until Thursday 13 June 2013. Ware family members unable to attend the Reunion will have the opportunity to view the exhibition as well as allowing the public to see these significant items.
Saturday 27 April – “Family Reunion Dinner”, Club Warrnambool Restaurant, 86 Kepler Street, 6.30 pm for 7 pm.

Sunday 28 April – “Family Get-together”, Foreshore Pavilion, La Bella Community Room, 50 Viaduct Road, 10 am – 5 pm. $20 per person: Children 12 and under Free.
Welcome and presentation at 2 pm, group photos, afternoon tea provided. Lunch can be purchased at the Pavilion Café & Bar anytime. Please bring your family photos to share.
